Reformed Christian Clothing
There is an interesting marvel taking place often on Sundays and Saturdays in our chapels throughout the world which is a bit baffling. This interesting phenomenon is the tendency of worshipers going to church in their Christian clothes or their Sunday finest. This usually implies that people put aside their cleanest, most conventional clothing for church activities. In numerous denominations, when not in a suit and tie or a conventional gown, one can, in fact, look way out of place.
There exists indication in history that one method the local clergy was separated from other local people was using what they wore; whether it be a new robe, special vestments, or even other special liturgical components. This showed the concept that particular men were called to minister to the chapel of God, while others to be ministered to.
Nevertheless, as the cathedral became associated with a corporation with policies and restrictions to follow and fewer of the living spiritual components, all kinds of separation and division started to occur. This included the official dress of the clergy or “special class” as they were different from other people even in education. Why dress uniquely while going to church?

Hence, having one opportunity to “impress” the God of the universe, we would be careful about how good we looked and how clean we are.

One more excuse that we dress formally regarding the church services would be that we think deep down in our psyche that we are trying to be acceptable to the Deity we all have come to praise. Or, champions of faith is what God needs, and we should dress like so for Him.
Yet maybe we all dress up on weekends to ensure we can win over those guests who come to the church to discover the God of the Bible. We wear our termed “Sunday best” so that those who aren’t Christian believers may see the pretend “happiness” and “victory” and “success”. But the message from the scripture is usually that our success with God is really a pure heart, not really the physical clothing. The right Christian clothes are what you may happen to be wearing; as Christian believers, we have clothed ourselves with Christ in a psychic sense, and are usually not to be interested with making our outward look appear as what is on the inside.
This debate of the right clothing can go on and on with different views from different perspectives. Just be decent when you attend a church service, nothing more.
